Words And Music By McCartney And Lennon (Deceased)
Andy's second album, and a very silly one at that, in which he excorsises his mentalist conspiricy theories and closet fears. All tracks written, produced and performed by Andy Wainwright. The album is a tribute to the late John Lennon and George Harrison. Best enjoyed out of your face!
If you ever wondered what Syd Barrett would be doing if he was still alive, this is the place to be.
Being a country boy, I caught the end of the punk era when the rest of the world had moved on from it. This is not what passes for punk music today, it is an original punk playing with drum boxes and synths, which is probably the direction the music would have gone had it stuck to the diy ethos.
There's a lot of soul/R&B and rap influences on this album, Running Out Of Soul, and Get Our Shit Together are two of only three attempts at rapping. Comes across like The Streets in some places,
There is a mix between pure pop and dance pop and lo-fi. Similar to what Carter USM and Sheep On Drugs were hinting at in the early 90's. Also included is a hefty chunk of 60's pyschedelia
